SCP-173 Containment Chamber is a containment chamber in the Light Containment Zone in SCP: Unity and the first location the player will ever encounter as of now.
Description[ | ]
The containment cell is the first room the player encounters, and the player's start position in the Light Containment Zone. The cell itself has a large bulk door with two accessible observation windows. Despite being its containment, SCP-173 does not spawn in this location. This is intentional.
The room above the chamber contains a radio which, when approached, will pick up a radio call between two individuals named Cornelius and Dr. Vulpine, where they note that SCP-173 and SCP-106 have been reported breached multiple times, and that SCP-049 has been reported a small number of times. They also note that most people in the upper levels of the facility have been successfully evacuated.
